Extrudex began in 1980 as a sales company in Chardon, OH which marketed custom thermoplastic extrusions produced by others. Within a few years the company acquired production and secondary processing capability. In 1990, Mr. George Humphrey and members of his family acquired Extrudex and invested in additional machinery and equipment to increase the company’s production capacity. Two years later the company moved from Chardon to a larger plant in Painesville, Ohio. After several additions, the facility expanded to 90,000 square feet. The company remains growth oriented and has an ongoing objective of increasing the number of polymers it processes as well as the size and variety of its custom extrusions.
Extrudex is a high quality producer of thermoplastic extrusions using a broad range of materials and colors. We specialize in both short-run/quick-turn jobs and complicated extrusions/assemblies. We offer special capabilities in the application of pressure sensitive tape and also provide secondary operations such as:
